Christy Mitropoulos - Ministering Grace

Christy Mitropoulos has been in full-time ministry for over 27 years, having traveled with her late husband, Rev. Angelo Mitropoulos, as they ministered in churches, conventions and Bible schools all over the world.

Christy is the Associate Pastor of Healing Grace Church where she ministers every Wednesday evening “The Window of Grace Bible Study”  bringing believers to a better understanding of the gospel that Paul preached, and showing them how better to relate to God and others as they see themselves in Christ Jesus.

In December of 2009, Christy underwent a radical change in her life when she received a copy of “Destined to Reign” by Joseph Prince and began to experience the power of a transformed mind as she embraced the Gospel of the grace of God.

Having struggled for years to try to ‘gain God’s approval’ through the things that she did for God, and feeling disqualified from God’s blessings because of her own weaknesses and inability to live a perfect life, she began to see that God’s love and acceptance of her was not based upon her good works, but on the obedience of Christ and His offering for sin once and for all upon the cross.

This message of ‘righteousness by faith’ and the ‘finished work of Christ’ brought Christy in to a living, loving relationship with God that has given her a peace and joy that she never knew before. Her life is now characterized by a flow of God’s love and His unmerited favor that she walks in and imparts to everyone around her.

Since this life of transformation began, Christy has been ministering a message of God’s grace, based on the writings of the Apostle Paul, teaching believers how to reign in life by the ‘gift of righteousness’ and the abundance of grace that belongs to every child of God.

Christy’s teaching on new covenant realities is simple and concise, yet so powerful that it is able to penetrate the hearts of men and women to the degree that they are able to walk away from the illusion that they could ever ‘become righteous enough’ in their own abilities.  Through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, believers are embracing the good news that the blood of Jesus Christ sanctifies – once and for all – those who come to Him in faith and believe.

Christy resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is the mother of four beautiful daughters.

Testimonials for Christy:

“Sister Christy challenged us in our Saturday night service and again in the Sunday morning worship with the message of the grace of God for the believer.  What a blessing! We were ready for it.  It has long been our tradition to preach grace to the unbeliever, stating that there is no other way to inherit eternal life! Of course, that is true.  However, in living out the Christian life, we were the modern-day Galatian church, mixing Grace and Law.  But getting the revelation that the righteousness of God is a GIFT, and that we cannot come into perfection (Gal. 3:3) through works of the flesh has brought powerful freedom to the body of Christ! (Note to self: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME?)”

Starting off the afternoon, Christy Mitropoulos began with a simple statement, “I want to talk to you about the incredible grace of God”. Energetic and enthusiastic about her topic of discussion, she directed us to Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. Elaborating on this choice verse, she told the interns that, “You have to be OK with who you are. There is a difference between ‘doing’ and ‘being’,” she said. Looking intently she continued, “Striving for approval from God will keep you from entering into His rest”. Giving us some personal stories from her own life, she began to unfold the beauty of God’s grace. “Allow yourself to live free from condemnation and guilt.” Continuing with her transparency, she explained her experiences with her husband’s recent passing. “When something tragic happens in our lives, we often begin to question God and His will for our lives. I want to tell you something very important… God’s Word is true even if our circumstances don’t necessarily seem like it.” It’s true. It can be very difficult to experience certain circumstances and still remain faithful to the Lord. We may not understand everything in our life and that’s ok. That’s the beauty of faith, isn’t it? It’s blind and bold and most of all, it’s devoted.
